The July 9 Program for the Iowa Municipal Band Festival
The Karl L. King Municipal Band of Fort Dodge presented a special concert at the Iowa Municipal Band Festival in Boone on Saturday, July 9.

Saturday, July 9th marked the Silver Anniversary of the Iowa Municipal Band Festival. The 25th year again featured a variety of bands at the Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. The Boone Municipal Band, celebrating it’s 100th Anniversary, hosted the event. | |

Conductor Jerrold P. Jimmerson and Assistant Conductor Dr. David Klee led the Band in a special musical tribute to former band master Karl L. King during his trouping days in the circus bands and leading the circus bands.
The program opened with Karl King's Robinson's Grand Entree, which he composed in 1911.
